Daniel Gibson Injury: Cavaliers’ Guard Has Torn Tendon In Ankle

Daniel Gibson has suffered a torn tendon in his ankle and is expected to spend even more time on the Cleveland Cavaliers’ sideline, according to reports. He is still under evaluation.

Daniel Gibson has reportedly suffered a torn tendon in his ankle, according to CBSSports.com. He has missed the Cleveland Cavaliers' last three games, all losses, after suffering what had been diagnosed as a sprained ankle against the New Jersey Nets. Now it appears that he will miss even more time.

“Boobie” has struggled this season, averaging a career-low 35.1 percent shooting from the field and tying a career high with 1.3 turnovers per game. The SB Nation blog Fear The Sword even speculates that Gibson will be let go by the Cavs if he doesn’t agree to restructure his contract. He is set to make just under $5 million next season if the team exercises the option on the final year of his contract.
