Knicks Vs. Mavericks: Tyson Chandler Returns To Dallas

Tyson Chandler will receive his 2010-11 NBA championship ring when his New York Knicks visit the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night.

The New York Knicks acquired Tyson Chandler this past offseason after the defensive-minded big man helped the Dallas Mavericks win the NBA championship last season. Chandler will return to Dallas on Tuesday night when the Knicks visit the Mavs and, prior to the game, receive the championship ring he earned last season. The game itself will tip off at 8:30 p.m. on NBA TV.

Chandler's Knicks are just 3-4 over their last seven games after going on a massive winning streak when Jeremy Lin made Linsanity happen. Lin has been struggling as of late, but had one of his better games when playing the Mavs last month with 28 points, 14 assists and four rebounds while earning praise from veteran Dallas point guard Jason Kidd -- a performance he'll look to reproduce Tuesday night as he tries to return to form after struggling in the past couple of games.

The Mavericks have won just one of their past six games, thanks to a 40-point outing from Dirk Nowitzki against the Utah Jazz on Saturday, but the rest of the team has struggled quite a bit during the current skid. Vince Carter went scoreless despite starting in Monday night's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, while Kidd and Shawn Marion combined for 16 total points.

This will be the last time these two teams meet this season and, considering Dallas begins a back-to-back-to-back roadtrip on Thursday night, they need a win to take some momentum with them as the away team.
