Derrick Rose Injury: Bulls Point Guard In Walking Boot On Monday

The latest ailment for Derrick Rose is an ankle injury. The Chicago Bulls point guard wore a walking boot on Monday after tweaking it during Sunday’s game.

Derrick Rose has somehow become the most injury-prone point guard in the NBA this season after being named the NBA's Most Valuable Player last season. The Chicago Bulls point guard is still really good when he's on the court but, unfortunately, that's been happening a lot less often than it should this season.

The latest ailment for the best player on the top team in the Eastern Conference is an ankle injury, apparently. It’s unclear exactly when it happened, but the Chicago Tribune’s K.C. Johnson reports that the ankle issue might supplant the lingering groin injury for the reason Rose finds himself on Tuesday evening’s injury report.

Rose, for starters, tweaked an ankle at some point in Sunday's game, which he finished. The extent of the injury is unknown; however, sources said Rose wore a walking boot on Monday and his availability for Tuesday's shot at redemption against the Knicks is a game-time decision.

Considering the Bulls are trying to hold off the Miami Heat for the top seed in the playoffs, it would certainly help if Rose is available from here on out. The second seed wouldn't be a terrible consolation prize if it meant Rose would remain healthy throughout the playoffs, however.
