On Thursday we learned that David West accidentally knocked out the Cavaliers' mascot Moondog during pre-game hijinks before Cavs vs. Pacers on Wednesday. The man inside the Moondog costume -- sorry kids, there's actually a man inside the Tooth Fairy costume, too -- was sent to the hospital with an eye injury. West expressed extreme sympathy.

The Basketball Jones tracked down some video of West's blow. While it's a bit hard to see due to distance, it's pretty clear that you never ever want to play fight with David West, because he is perfectly unclear as to what makes a play fight a play fight.
I knew that West’s jumper was off this year, but there’s no excuse for aim that bad. Yikes.
