The easy headline for a Lester Hudson signing by the Memphis Grizzlies would probably be something regarding Walking In Memphis or something similar to that, but that changed this time around considering he's moving from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

This move likely won't have as much of an impact on the Cavs fans as when LeBron James took his talents to South Beach, but it seems like it may have amounted to some burned bridges in Ohio for the former NBA D-Leaguer.

The reasoning remains unclear as to why exactly Hudson’s leaving Cleveland considering he was pretty impressive in multiple games with the Cavs, but the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported that he was “unable to reach an agreement” despite interest from Cleveland.

“Had a great run wit Cavs hopefully my next stop will b much better!!!!!” Hudson tweeted Thursday night.

Apparently Hudson had been hoping the Cavs would sign him for the rest of the season when his first 10-day contract expired on April 8. The Cavs were interested, but on their timetable and at their price, and the two sides were unable to reach agreement on Thursday.

That could possibly sound more ominous than it is, but it’s interesting considering the success Hudson had with the Cavs while on his pair of 10-day contracts.
