For the third straight season, the Houston Rockets will finish the year with a winning record, but fail to make the NBA Playoffs. Their playoff dreams came to an end on Sunday, when they lost on the road against the Miami Heat.
Rockets Eliminated In Playoff Chase With Loss To Heat
The Houston Rockets have been eliminated from playoff contention with their loss to the Miami Heat on Sunday.

Chandler Parsons had the best game of his career for the Rockets, recording 23 points, six rebounds and four steals, but the Rockets had no answer for LeBron James. With Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh sitting out, James had 32 points to lead all scorers.
There is one scenario that could put them on the same record as the Utah Jazz and the Phoenix Suns when the season ends, but they will lose the tiebreaker with both teams. Houston went 1-2 against both the Jazz and Suns during the regular season, and the first tiebreaker between three or more tied teams that did not win their division is record against each other.
