2012 NBA Playoffs, Thunder Vs. Mavericks Score Update: Dallas Leads After First Quarter

The Dallas Mavericks were able to knock off the Miami Heat in the 2011 NBA Finals in part thanks to Jason Terry's significant contributions off the bench. And with Terry heating up against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the 2012 Western Conference Quarterfinals and staking the Mavs to a 26-22 lead after the first quarter, Dallas may be able to slay another dragon.

Terry had nine points off the bench in the first quarter, making all four of his shots in five minutes of play and making up for Dirk Nowitzki's 1-6 performance in the period. Five Mavericks have three or more points already: Terry, Nowitzki, Shawn Marion, Jason Kidd and Brendan Haywood.

The Thunder have been carried by Russell Westbrook, who leads all scorers with 11 points. But between Westbrook and Kevin Durant, who has seven points, two players have put up all but four of OKC's points so far. James Harden, the Thunder's typical third banana, has yet to take a shot.
