NBA Scores: Bucks Win, Wolves Fall Out Of Sight

The Bucks continue to attempt to keep up with the Knicks in the East, but the Wolves are absolute toast in the West.

Presswire

The Milwaukee Bucks continued their quest for a playoff bid on Monday, picking up an expected blowout win over the Washington Wizards. The Bucks pulled away early and managed a 112-98 victory. Six Bucks scored in double figures, led by Brandon Jennings' 19. The Bucks shot better than 50 percent from the floor.

The Wizards were led by Jordan Crawford's 23 points. Nene sat again to nurse a sore foot. John Wall had 14 points and nine assists, but shot just 4-13.

The Bucks are now two games behind the New York Knicks for the No. 8 spot in the East.

In the West, the Minnesota Timberwolves fell to 4.5 games away from the No. 8 seed with a 116-108 loss to the Sacramento Kings. Kevin Love managed a somewhat mortal 23 points and seven rebounds, almost entirely at power forward for a change as Nikola Pekovic returned. Brad Miller, a former King who will retire at season's end, actually got the ceremonial start and popped in a quick 11 points and six assists.

But the Kings dominated in a defense-optional match. Tyreke Evans attacked with ease, racking up 24 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists with just one turnover. DeMarcus Cousins added 20 points and nine rebounds -- he shot 7-12 as Sacramento climbed over 50 percent from the floor for the game.
