Blake Griffin Injury: MRI On Left Knee Scheduled For Thursday

Blake Griffin went down with an apparent knee injury Wednesday as the Clippers battled the Grizzlies in Game 5 of their NBA playoff matchup. After returning briefly to shoot his free throws, Griffin headed to the bench for further evaluation but did return to the game for the stretch run. One would think he’d be good to go for the rest of the series, but the Clippers are planning to reevaluate him on Thursday.

Following the game, the team told reporters Griffin would undergo an MRI on his left knee after returning to Los Angeles.

The MRI could be precautionary, just to make sure no damage was done in the spill, but with Chris Paul already hobbled it is cause for some concern. We'll be back with more on Griffin as it becomes available.
