Spurs Vs. Clippers, NBA Playoffs 2012 Game 1: San Antonio Too Much For Clippers, Takes 108-92 Victory

The San Antonio Spurs had no issues coming back from an eight-day layoff, picking up a 108-92 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 1 of this Western Conference Semifinals series. This game was effectively over by the end of the third quarter, as the Spurs had built a 15-point lead by then.

Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 26 points and 10 rebounds. He was 12-of-20 from the field, helping the team to a 48.8 percent shooting night. Manu Ginobili came up with 22 points off the bench while rookie Kawhi Leonard and Daniel Green contributed 16 and 15 points, respectively.

Boris Diaw helped the Spurs to a 47-34 rebounding advantage with 12, a team best. Tony Parker dished the ball out for 11 assists and added seven points.

The Clippers' Eric Bledsoe had a team-high 23 points and four of the team's eight offensive rebounds. Blake Griffin put in 15 points, nine rebounds and three blocks, but, just like the rest of his team's offense, wasn't able to keep up with the Spurs' scoring. Chris Paul finished the night with 10 assists, six points and five steals.

The teams return to the court on Thursday night in San Antonio for Game 2 of the series.
