The Boston Celtics sent a message on Wednesday, hammering the Philadelphia 76ers, 107-91, to take a 2-1 series lead.

This is some high-class trolling, TNT.
Next step for this guy: a cameo in a Dove commercial, with this looping over and over.

I’d like to imagine a 12-year-old Lou Williams going to his local park and practicing two specific kinds of shots. First, he’d pretend there were 40 seconds left in the quarter and he had to shoot within the next five seconds. He’d announce the action as he did it, and when he hit the shot, he’d yell, “HE HITS IT! LOU FOR ONE!”
Then, he’d pretend the other team missed and he got the ball back at the end of the first quarter. He’d practice dribbling, pretend to lose the ball, then recover it and shoot absurd 30-footers. Basically, he’d do this.

How many times will Rajon Rondo drop 13 points in a first quarter with zero assists? Never? I’ll check at some point, but it’s a safe bet he hasn’t done this very often.
Nevertheless, we’ve played 10 minutes in Philadelphia, and Rondo has 13 of the Celtics’ 23 points, with zero assists. With Paul Pierce hurting, Kevin Garnett out with two fouls and Ray Allen out of of rhythm, the Celtics need Rondo to score, and he knows it.

Now, it’s a home game, and the 76ers are wearing white, which means this would be the perfect opportunity for a white out. However, due to the unwritten rule that NBA teams cannot do a home whiteout, ever, the 76ers had to settle for this red-out of sorts.

So much for the Celtics’ bad offensive start. They’ve scored on their last six possessions to take a two-point lead, and you can thank Rajon Rondo for that. The Celtics guard is doing a great job in transition, probing the defense for two easy layups. Rondo’s aggression has been inconsistent during the playoffs, so this is a great sight for Celtics fans.

In an attempt to free Paul Pierce from the shackles of Andre Iguodala, the Boston Celtics have run several plays for him early in Game 3. There are two problems, though.
One, Pierce just doesn’t have the legs. He’s not moving well enough to get any separation from Iguodala, and when he gets by him, he’s struggling to get enough lift to finish.
