The Charlotte Bobcats coaching search hasn't gained a lot of attention on the national scale quite yet, but Michael Jordan's team seems to be taking the right approach when it comes to finding a coach to replace Paul Silas on the sidelines.
Charlotte Bobcats Coaching Search Continues With Dave Joerger On Friday
The team likely won’t be able to attract the major names, considering it is coming off the worst season in the history of the National Basketball Association, but Charlotte is bringing in some solid candidates that have proven themselves capable in previous stops.
Charlotte has already interviewed St. John's associate head coach Mike Dunlap, Golden State Warriors assistant Mike Malone, Orlando Magic assistant Patrick Ewing and Cleveland Cavaliers assistant Nate Tibbetts. They'll conclude a pretty busy week by interviewing Memphis Grizzlies assistant Dave Joerger who, like Tibbetts, has spent time as a successful head coach in the NBA Development League (and is fairly high on Tom Ziller's list of coaching candidates).
