Rejoice, America: the team that everybody has decided not to like with the two disturbingly talented guys is struggling. After winning Game 1, the Miami Heat seem flustered and out of sorts against the giant-killers/storyline-friendly Indiana Pacers. (Never mind the fact that the Pacers are, in fact, quite good at basketball, this is the narrative we're using.)
How Can Heat Bounce Back In Game 4 Vs. Pacers?
However, a 2-1 deficit is quite a long way from insurmountable. Surya Fernandez of SB Nation’s Heat Blog The Peninsula is Mightier took a look at how Miami can get back to its Flying Death Squad ways.
[It’s] time to forget about trying to figure out how to combat the other team’s strengths and instead force the opponent to react to one of remaining strengths the Heat have left. The team defense has been effective for the most part this series, it’s the offense that’s a complete mess. Not long ago, the Heat were one of the quickest teams in the league by relentlessly pushing the ball up-court and constantly forcing the opponent’s defense to play on their heels.
Don't rule the team with Dwyane Wade and LeBron James out. SBN's Pacers blog Indy Cornrows knows that Indy will be expecting the best from Miami:
Now down 2-1 in the series, Miami is past gut-check time and into pride-check time. If James and Wade can rise up together with a big performance, everything for the Heat will be back on stable ground with the series even and headed back to Miami for Game 5.
