NBA Playoffs 2012, Knicks Vs. Heat Game 3: Game Time, TV Schedule And More

The New York Knicks’ series against the Miami Heat couldn’t get worse at Madison Square Garden. Could it?

The New York Knicks had a terrible time in South Florida in their first two games against the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. The Heat rolled to a 2-0 lead, winning both matchups by double digits and inspiring Knicks forward Amar'e Stoudemire to punch a glass fire extinguisher case — the latter incident replacing Iman Shumpert's torn ACL as the most senseless moment of the series so far.

But the Knicks will have a hungry Madison Square Garden crowd behind them in Thursday's Game 3, and Knicks fans are currently in "It could not possibly get worse than this, RIGHT?!" mode, and the Eastern Conference side of the 2012 NBA playoffs bracket could get really boring in a hurry if the Heat make good on their eternal promise in the LeBron James era as a potential juggernaut.

Carmelo Anthony going off might help New York in Game 3, and might also prevent the Knicks from setting the NBA record for playoff futility with their 13th straight postseason loss; they're currently tied with the 2004-06 Memphis Grizzlies as losers of 12 straight.
