Thunder Vs. Spurs, NBA Playoffs 2012 Game 3: Thunder Blowout Spurs, Win Game 3

The Oklahoma City Thunder avoided a 3-0 series deficit with a 102-82 blowout win over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals. The Spurs now lead the best-of-seven series 2-1.

The Thunder were led by Kevin Durant, who scored a game-high 22 points. Thabo Sefolosha was huge for Oklahoma City in Game 3, finishing with 19 points, six rebounds, six steals, and playing excellent defense on Tony Parker. Sefolosha played 37 minutes in Game 3 after playing just 15 in Game 2. After trailing by two points at the end of the first quarter, Oklahoma City outscored the Spurs 80-58 over the final three quarters.

It was the Spurs’ first loss since April 11. San Antonio had won 20 straight games, including all 10 of their postseason contests. Tony Parker finished with 16 points and four assists, but also had five turnovers. Parker had six total turnovers in the first two games of the series.

The two teams will meet in Game 4 on Saturday.
