Amar’e Stoudemire Injury: Knicks Star Will Be Game-Time Decision In Game 4 Vs. Heat

The New York Knicks must win on Sunday to stave off elimination in their Eastern Conference Quarterfinals series with the Miami Heat. It's not clear yet whether the Knicks will have Amar'e Stoudemire on the floor for Game 4: Stoudemire is listed as doubtful, but his status will be a game-time decision, and he is still recovering from a hand injury sustained when he punched the glass casing of a fire extinguisher after a Game 2 loss.

Stoudemire did not play in Game 3, a Knicks loss in Madison Square Garden that gave New York the NBA record for most consecutive postseason losses with 13, but did participate in practice with the team on Saturday. Coach Mike Woodson said he was able to rebound and catch with a left hand covered by padding.

Stoudemire averaged 13.5 points and six rebounds per game in the first two games of the series.
