Just three days after it was reported he met with Paul Allen regarding the open Portland Trail Blazers general manager position, the Clippers Neil Olshey is staying put.
Neil Olshey Agrees To Terms To Remain Clippers’ GM
Neil Olshey, the man that made Lob City a reality, has agreed to terms to remain the Clippers’ vice president of basketball operations.

Olshey, responsible for the major personnel moves that resulted in only the Clippers second playoff series win in franchise history this season, has agreed to a deal that will keep him in Los Angeles as the team’s vice president of basketball operations, according to CBSSports.com’s Ken Berger.
Berger also reports that Olshey was a finalist for the Blazers general manager opening after a well-publicized meeting in London with Allen, the Blazers owner.
In addition to acquiring Chris Paul via trade, Olshey is the man that brought Lob City to life. He drafted Blake Griffin and Eric Bledsoe, and signed the Chauncey Billups, Caron Butler, Reggie Evans and Kenyon Martin to fill out a Clippers rotation that posted the best record in franchise history.
The reported deal to keep Olshey comes four days after the Clippers exercised the option to keep Vinny Del Negro as head coach for the 2012-2013 season.
Olshey has worked his way up within the Clippers franchise. Next season will be his third as a VP/general manager and tenth overall.
