Miami Heat Parade 2012: Route, TV Schedule, Video And More

The Miami Heat won the NBA Championship on Thursday. Monday morning, the party continues with a 90-minute parade through downtown Miami.

Presswire

Nearly two years ago, the Miami Heat held a giant celebration at American Airlines Arena honoring the re-signing of Dwyane Wade and the free agent acquisitions of Chris Bosh and LeBron James. On Monday, June 25, the city of Miami will celebrate a real, tangible accomplishment as it hosts the championship parade for the Heat's NBA Finals victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The parade is set for 90 minutes and will kick off at 11 a.m. at the corner of SW 8th Street and 2nd Avenue, then head east on 8th Street, then north on Brickell Avenue. It will proceed across the bridge and north on Biscayne Boulevard and end at American Airlines Arena, according to NBC Miami.

At 12:30 p.m., the Heat will have a private celebration with their season-ticket holders at the arena, and, as Miami’s WSVN-TV reports, will foot the entire bill for the celebration. The information for watching on TV or streaming online has yet to be released.
