The NBA Draft is the best draft of any sport. NFL is the NFL but come on, how many days can a person be expected to care? Baseball is fun for about the first 10 picks and then you get to wait three years to see who blew out his elbow and who can actually hit a professional curveball. Is there even a hockey draft? I’m honestly not sure.

Basketball players are the most accessible of any sport. Fans sit close to the action. Faces are visible. Emotions are obvious. And the NBA Draft reflects that through its combination of quirky moments, tears and bad suits.
We love it.
Oh, and the players drafted in the first round, they are generally going to play as rookies and we will quickly see what they are all about.
SB Nation’s 30 NBA sites all did a great job covering the 2012 NBA Draft from the perspective of team fans. They cheered when a player like Harrison Barnes fell in the their lap and they scratched their heads and launched epic Twitter rants when their teams “reached” to take Dion Waiters with the fourth-overall pick.
As is often the case, however, it’s in the middle of the pack where the best work is done. The Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers are teams mired in mediocrity but their respective blogs were fantastic on draft night.
