Lamar Odom Trade Involved 4 Teams

While the big news from Friday's NBA trade was Lamar Odom's return to Los Angeles, the details of the deal that sent Odom to the Clippers were widely misreported.

Most initial reports had the trade as a three-team deal with the Mavericks sending Odom to the Clippers, Los Angeles sending Mo Williams to the Jazz and Utah giving up a few spare parts. However, it turns out the trade was actually a four-team deal with the Houston Rockets also joining the party.

Here is the full breakdown of Friday’s four-team trade:

Dallas

Sends: Lamar Odom to Los Angeles and the draft rights to Shan Foster to Utah

Receives: Draft rights to Tadija Dragicevic from Utah and cash considerations from Houston

Los Angeles

Sends: Mo Williams to Utah and the draft rights to Furkan Aldemir to Houston

Receives: Lamar Odom from Dallas

Utah

Sends: Draft rights to Tadija Dragicevic to Dallas

Receives: Mo Williams from Los Angeles and draft rights to Shan Foster from Dallas

Houston

Sends: Cash considerations to Dallas

Receives: Draft rights to Furkan Aldemir from Los Angeles.
