Kevin Garnett, Boston Celtics Agree To 3-Year $34 Million Deal

While there were rumors abounds that the Boston Celtics and Kevin Garnett were close to agreeing to a new deal, the two sides have "officially" done so on Saturday, according to a report by Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports.

NBA free agency begins at midnight, but teams and players cannot officially sign deals until July 11. There was some thought that the 36-year-old Garnett might retire from the NBA after 17 seasons, but it looks like Garnett will be returning for at least his 18th season in the NBA and his sixth with the Celtics.

Last season, Garnett averaged 15.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, playing just over 31 minutes.
