It might sound ridiculous to say, but Goran Dragic might actually be a net upgrade at the point guard position from Steve Nash.

The Phoenix Suns let Nash walk instead of paying him the $30m over three years that he wanted to stay and instead, moved him to the Los Angeles Lakers and got a handful of marginally valuable draft picks and a familiar replacement back in the deal.
Dragic is younger, far more athletic, a far better defender, and not even close to Nash in terms of floor leadership and pure “point guardedness”. Nash is also 38 and for those that watched him closely, has shown a steady decline over the last few years with his various ailments preventing him from consistently getting his shot off.
Bottom line, you can’t compare the two-time MVP and future Hall of Fame Nash to young Dragic but that doesn’t mean that in 2012 (and for the next three years) that Dragic won’t be a better player for a rebuilding team.
