Orlando Pro Summer League: Thunder Cruise Against Ice-Cold Pistons

ORLANDO -- Five members of the Oklahoma City Thunder scored in double-figures Wednesday, helping OKC pick up its first win of Orlando Pro Summer League play and send the Detroit Pistons to their first loss by an 83-64 final. Garrett Temple, Reggie Jackson, and Lazar Hayward scored 15 points apiece for the Thunder, while Austin Daye scored a game-high 18 for Detroit, which shot 33.9 percent from the floor and committed 23 turnovers.

Honorable mention: Pistons rookie Andre Drummond didn't look impressive to the naked eye, and his coaches even had to remind him that he needs to run the floor hard on every play. Nonetheless, the raw UConn product nearly had a double-double with 10 points and nine boards, and swatted four shots as well.

Disappointing player: Detroit made Brandon Knight the No. 8 overall pick in the 2011 Draft, but he didn't play up to his mid-lottery billing against the Thunder's aggressive, physical perimeter defense. Knight missed 12 of his 17 shots and tallied three assists to five turnovers. Reggie Jackson, picked 16 spots after Knight in 2011, soundly outplayed him.

Dishonorable mention: Kyle Singler hardly registered in his 29 minutes for Detroit. The former Most Outstanding Player of the 2010 NCAA Tournament scored four points on 0-of-3 shooting, pulled down one rebound, and committed four turnovers. OKC's physical play took him off his game.

Prospect watch: Third-year center Cole Aldrich hasn't found his niche in the NBA, but he produced Wednesday, with 10 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks. Aldrich showed some soft touch around the basket, but it's hard to know what his role in the NBA will be.
