Las Vegas NBA Summer League Scores And Results: Nolan Smith Suffers Head Injury, Bobcats Remain Undefeated

The Las Vegas Summer League received a bit of a scare on Tuesday night when Portland Trail Blazers guard Nolan Smith was hospitalized following a head injury. The hospital stay was precautionary, but he was taken out of the arena on a stretcher. The game was called shortly after the incident, resulting in a Houston Rockets 99-88 victory. Smith had 27 points, putting him in a tie with rookie Damian Lillard for the team lead in points.

In other action:

Kenneth Faried helped the Denver Nuggets to an 85-81 victory over the New York Knicks with 16 points, 15 rebounds and five blocked shots. For the Knicks, however, the far greater loss came at the end of the day when they chose not to match Jeremy Lin's offer sheet.

The Washington Wizards downed the Memphis Grizzlies, 83-77, and had a huge rebounding advantage. Shavlik Randolph, Chris Singleton and Jan Vesely combined for 37 of the team's 56 boards. Memphis had just 22.

In a 79-74 Celtics victory, Celtics rookie Jared Sullinger scored just seven points, but he had a team-high 14 rebounds.

The Charlotte Bobcats improved to 3-0 with an 81-78 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Byron Mullens scored 33 points in the win.
