The Chinese men’s basketball team didn’t have a very good showing at the 2012 London Olympics. The squad failed to make the medal round after going winless in the Group B preliminaries, finishing with an 0-5 record for the tournament.
Free Agent Yi Jianlian Could Miss NBA Season With MCL Strain
After a strong showing in London at the 2012 Olympics, Yi Jianlian may now miss the entire 2012-2013 NBA season with an MCL strain.


But despite their record, Yi Jianlian emerged as one of best players in the games and certainly the best player on the Chinese team. But despite such a strong Olympic showing, Yi's entire 2012-2013 NBA campaign may now be in jeopardy:

Yi played with the Dallas Mavericks last season, appearing in just 30 games while averaging 2.6 points and 1.6 rebounds. He was essentially relegated to a bench role and played mostly mop-up duty as he averaged a paltry 6.8 minutes per game.
The 24-year-old forward is currently a free agent.
