Andre Iguodala was officially introduced as a member of the Denver Nuggets on Thursday, and it didn't take long for the organization's new acquisition to make it clear he's committed to his new home, admitting to the Denver media that he wants to sign a long-term deal.

Iguodala, who was traded from the Philadelphia 76ers to Denver as part of the four-team Dwight Howard blockbuster while playing at the Olympics for Team USA, is under contract for just the 2012-13 season, but has a $15.9 million player option for '13-'14.

"We weren't coming into this thinking this will be a one-year deal," Iguodala said.

During the presser, Nuggets executives Josh Kroenke and Masai Ujiri said they also want to lock up the veteran swingman, who's expected to provide veteran leadership and defense in George Karl's fast-paced system.

For the past eight seasons, Iguodala played with the 76ers, where he averaged 15.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game.
