San Antonio Spurs assistant general manager Dennis Lindsey is close to becoming the general manager of the Utah Jazz, according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Spurs assistant general manager Dennis Lindsey is close to becoming the next general manager of the Utah Jazz.


Lindsey would fill the vacancy left open when current general manager Kevin O’Connor moved into an executive role with the team. According to Wojnarowski’s report, Lindsey met with the Jazz on Monday and is nearing an agreement.
Lindsey was previously a finalist for the Orlando Magic's open general manager position. He was one of a few names the Jazz considered, with Oklahoma City Thunder assistant general manager Troy Weaver and Cleveland Cavaliers assistant general manager David Griffin among the other candidates.
