With little interest from NBA teams, former all-star Gilbert Arenas is strongly considering playing in China next season, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
Gilbert Arenas could head over to China
Former all-star guard Gilbert Arenas may head to the Far East if he cannot get a training camp invitation.

Stein reports that Arenas still hopes to get a training camp invitation from either the Los Angeles Lakers or Los Angeles Clippers, but if that doesn't happen, he may head to the Far East. The country has emerged as a preferred destination because the pay is good for former NBA stars and the season ends in February, allowing players to sign on with NBA clubs in March or April for the stretch run.
Arenas, who was most successful as a member of the Washington Wizards, is a free agent. He played 17 games for the Memphis Grizzlies last year after the Orlando Magic released him using the amnesty provision prior to the season. His career has spiraled downward since he underwent several knee surgeries and brought guns into the Wizards' locker room in December, 2009.
