While talking to reporters on Thursday, Dwight Howard strongly disagreed with the reports which said that he tore the labrum in his right shoulder.
Dwight Howard downplays severity of shoulder injury
The Lakers star apparently isn’t on the same page as the team’s news releases.

However, as Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today pointed out, there’s a slight problem with his version of events:
"I don't know what story came out and said I tore my labrum," he said at practice.
Well, the story that came from an official Lakers news release saying, "an MRI exam revealed that he has a torn labrum and will be out indefinitely."
Howard went on to say that the labrum only has a small tear and isn’t fully torn. That could be the difference between missing a week and undergoing surgery that would keep him out of the line-up for much longer.
After sitting out the Lakers last two games against Houston and San Antonio, it’s still unclear when exactly Howard will return to the court.
For now, LA’s snake-bitten season continues, as apparently we can no longer even take what they say in their own press releases at face value.
