Spurs vs. Grizzlies final score: Memphis wins 101-98 in overtime

The Memphis Grizzlies used a late surge in overtime to beat the Spurs on Friday.

USA TODAY Sports

A jumper by Rudy Gay with 28 seconds left in overtime put the Memphis Grizzlies up 99-98 on the San Antonio Spurs and proved to be the game-winner in the Grizzlies' 101-98 victory. It was the fourth straight win for Memphis.

After a missed shot from Tony Parker, Darrell Arthur had a dunk at the other end to push the lead to three. Manu Ginobili missed what would've been a tying three-pointer at the buzzer.

Arthur appeared to have the game won with 33.7 seconds left in regulation when he hit a jumper that gave the Grizzlies the lead until the final seconds.

After Arthur's jumper, Danny Green missed a three-pointer that would've put the Spurs back in front. Arthur rebounded the ball, and Mike Conley found Tony Allen for a layup.

Stephen Jackson hit a three-pointer with seven seconds left to cut the deficit to one. Zach Randolph hit two free throws for the Grizzlies, but Parker hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to tie the game at 95 and send it to overtime.

Gay led six Grizzlies in double figures with 23 points, and Conley scored 21. Randolph scored 18 points, Arthur had 14 points and Marc Gasol and Allen each scored 10 points.

Parker led the Spurs with 30 points. Ginobili scored 14 points off the bench, and Tim Duncan and Tiago Splitter each had 13 points.
