Already dealing with a depleted frontcourt, the Los Angeles Lakers will now be without injured forward Jordan Hill for the rest of the season, after his hip injury proved far worse than originally thought.
Jordan Hill out for rest of the season
The depleted Lakers frontcourt will continue to be without Jordan Hill.

Hill was expected to miss a week or more, but Lakers reporter Mike Trudel of TWC Sports Net tweeted Friday that his injury will require surgery that will keep him out for the rest of the season. Ken Berger of CBS Sports tweeted that Hill has a partial labral tear.
Hill, a key reserve, averaged 6.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game in 29 games this season. He averaged about 15 minutes per game, but the Lakers are currently without starting big men Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard. Hill's role likely would have increased had he not been injured.
Gasol is recovering from a concussion, while Howard has a torn labrum and no return date has been set. Earl Clark and Robert Sacre started for the Lakers on Friday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
