NBA schedule 2013: Heat try to avoid 0-3 start to road trip in Sacramento

The Miami Heat have lost the first two games of their six-game road trip. The Heat will try to avoid falling to 0-3 on the trip Saturday in Sacramento.

The Miami Heat are looking to avoid their third straight loss to start their current six-game road trip at 10 p.m. Saturday agains the Sacramento Kings.

The Heat (23-11) shot just 41 percent in a 10-point loss to the Indiana Pacers on Jan. 8 to open the trip, then lost by two points to the Portland Trail Blazers on Jan. 10 as Wesley Matthews hit a three-pointer with less than 30 seconds remaining that proved to be the game-winner.

The Heat have lost five of their last eight games, but they face a Kings team that is also struggling. The Kings have lost three straight games and are 13-23 on the season and are just 2.5 games out of last place in the Western Conference.

The Heat have struggled rebounding the ball this season as they've played small lineups that occasionally included Shane Battier, a wing for his entire career, playing at the power forward spot. Jay Ramos of Heat blog Hot Hot Hoops took an in-depth look at Miami's problems on the glass earlier this week.

Here is the entire NBA schedule for Saturday (all times Eastern):

Charlotte Bobcats at Indiana Pacers, 7 p.m.

Miami Heat at Sacramento Kings, 10 p.m.
