NBA 2013 schedule: Clippers hit the road for matchup with the Grizzlies

The Los Angeles Clippers began a three-game road trip with a matchup against Rudy Gay and the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Los Angeles Clippers began a heavy stretch of road games with a matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday.

The Clippers are coming off of a disappointing 104-101 loss to the Orlando Magic at home on Saturday snapping Los Angeles' 13-game home winning streak in the process. L.A. heads out on the road now and will be trying to snap a two-game losing streak away from Staples Center.

The Clippers are 28-9 and 10-5 on the road. That road record will get tested in the coming weeks as Los Angeles enters a stretch of 15 of 19 games on the road. Memphis is two back of San Antonio in the Southwestern division but suffered a lackluster 104-83 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday.

The game will feature a matchup of two of the best power forwards in the game in Los Angeles’ Blake Griffin and Memphis’ Zach Randolph. Griffin is averaging a team best 17.4 points and 8.6 rebounds while Randolph is averaging a double-double at 16.7 points and 11.7 boards.

The two teams will meet two more times after Monday's contest. The Clippers won the previous matchup opening their season with a 101-92 win back on October 31. Jamal Crawford scored 29 points off the bench in that game to lead Los Angeles. Rudy Gay tossed in 25 to lead the Grizzlies.

Here is the entire NBA Schedule for Monday (all teams eastern):

Orlando Magic at Washington Wizards, 7 p.m.

Los Angeles Clippers at Memphis Grizzlies, 8 p.m.

Minnesota Timberwolves at Dallas Mavericks, 8:30 p.m.
