The New York Knicks expect to have shooting guard Iman Shumpert make his season debut against the Detroit Pistons on Thursday, Chris Herring of the Wall Street Journal reports. Both teams are traveling to England this week for Thursday's game for the match-up at London's O2 Arena.
Iman Shumpert injury: Knicks guard expected to debut Thursday
The Knicks expect to have guard Iman Shumpert back in uniform when they face the Pistons in London’s O2 Arena on Thursday.

Knicks head coach Mike Woodson wasn't completely certain that Shumpert would play on Thursday, but he did tell reporters that it's his expectation barring any setbacks before that date. Shumpert's rehab has generally gone well since blowing out his knee in April, so there's reason to be optimistic that he'll be playing in London.
Before tearing his ACL and lateral meniscus in his left knee during the 2012 playoffs, Shumpert had emerged as one of the Knicks’ best perimeter defenders. It’s unclear how much of his impressive athleticism will be present immediately upon his return, but his presence should help a team that’s gotten inconsistent production at shooting guard this season.
