NBA trade rumors: Celtics ‘content’ with roster

General manager Danny Ainge doesn’t feel the team needs to make any changes heading into the 2012-13 stretch run.

Mark L. Baer-USA TODAY Sports

Boston Celtics general manager Danny Ainge isn't feeling any pressure to make a move before the trade deadline comes about. In fact, he's perfectly happy with where the team is at this point.

“I feel like we don’t have any glaring needs when we’re playing the way we’re playing,” he said. “Everyone’s playing their role; whether they’re playing well all the time is not as much of a point if they are accepting a role and giving an honest day’s worth of work.”

Few players have thrived in their roles of late as much as Avery Bradley, who has shown his worth after returning from a season-long absence stemming from a shoulder injury. Boston is in the middle of a five-game winning streak behind strong overall play from what has seemed like different contributors each night.

Boston is in third place in the Atlantic division and four games behind the New York Knicks. They are 4.5 games behind the Miami Heat in the conference standings.
