adidas has officially unveiled the uniforms for the 62nd NBA All-Star Game that will take place at the Toyota Center in Houston on Feb. 17.

adidas’ 2013 NBA All-Star Game uniforms take inspiration from Houston’s aeronautical history.
The inspiration for the design comes from Houston’s aeronautical history. The uniforms’ camouflage pattern is meant to evoke speedy jet planes amid the silhouette of a basketball net. The lettering and numbering on the uniforms are inspired by the stenciled style that is commonly found on those jets. The iconic adidas three stripe logo is featured on the side of the jersey, and will be on the shorts as well.
There will also be special warm-ups for the game, which also take inspiration from the city’s aeronautical history. The warm-ups will be black-and-white aviator style that feature zippers made with a similar finish used on airplanes. The warm-up jackets will be individually customized to showcase each players’ accomplishments over the course of their careers.
This is adidas’ sixth year designing the All-Star Game uniforms. There’s really nothing too eye-popping about these new uniforms compared to past versions, but the customized warm-up jackets are certainly a nice touch.
