Watch Kobe Bryant play basketball, and it's pretty obvious the dude doesn't fear anything. That's nothing surprising.
Kobe Bryant’s greatest fear
In an interview with ESPN The Magazine, Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant discussed his fearlessness, which ends at something you wouldn’t expect.

In a recent interview with ESPN The Magazine, Bryant explained why he never backed down from the likes of anyone, including Michael Jordan. As a teenager, Bryant rattled off 33 points against Jordan in one game. In another game early in his career, Bryant remembers getting decked by Rasheed Wallace, only to get up and drive through the lane with more force.
Bryant told ESPN The Magazine that the last 17 years have gone by in a “blink of an eye.”
The Los Angeles Lakers star also dished on both real and theoretical one-on-one duels that, of course, he'd win.
Bryant once "roasted" Tracy McGrady. He believes game between himself and Jordan would come down to the final shot. And though he admits Kevin Durant would be a matchup problem, there's no fear in Bryant's game.
What might Bryant be afraid of?
“I hate dog s---. I won’t go near it. So pissed when I step in it. I’ve got four dogs and I just don’t do dog doo. I’m a diva when it comes to that.”
Um, OK. Is there a scarring memory that led to this?
“Back in the day when I was in Italy, I used to order shoes from Nike all the time. I had to have all the fresh joints. I ordered the Elephant Print Jordans that were amazing. I went to the park to play and stepped in a huge pile of dog s---. You wouldn’t believe how mad I was. I was breaking off sticks to try to get it out of the crevices. I smacked them together and scraped the soles on the curb but couldn’t get it all out. Ever since that day I just can’t stand dog crap.”
So now we know.
