Chris Paul injury: Clippers guard out against Minnesota

The Los Angeles Clippers will be without point guard Chris Paul Thursday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Los Angeles Clippers will be without Chris Paul Thursday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves as the point guard continues to recover from a bruised kneecap, according to the Los Angeles Times' Brad Turner.

Paul injured his right knee by running into Orlando Magic guard J.J. Redick, and he's been listed as day-to-day since. The Clippers have won the two games he's missed since, beating the Memphis Grizzlies 99-73 on Monday before cruising to a 117-109 win against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday.

Guard Eric Bledsoe started in Paul's place in the two victories. He scored 14 points to go with four assists against Memphis and bettered that performance with 19 points (7-of-12 shooting), five assists and seven rebounds the next night.

Paul is averaging 16.8 points and 9.7 assists on 48 percent shooting on the season.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Paul was getting his knee worked on during Thursday’s shootaround.

The Clippers will have forward Caron Butler available against Minnesota. He has been dealing with a sore right foot.
