The Memphis Grizzlies have lost three straight games and are searching for answers. Head coach Lionel Hollins has urged the team to get back to basics in an effort to snap out of their recent slide. All three of the Grizzlies' losses during the streak have been by at least 21 points.
Rudy Gay, Zach Randolph get stiffed out of a free dinner
The Memphis Grizzlies are mired in a three-game losing streak and the persistent trade rumors surrounding the team aren’t likely to let up anytime soon.

One thing that is no doubt working against Memphis is the persistant trade rumors that are surrounding the team daily. Rudy Gay has been a fixture in the NBA's rumor mill and Zach Randolph has seen his name pop up also. New ownership has introduced change into the equation and there is a strong sense that this team could look very different by the trade deadline in an effort to avoid the luxury tax.
Grizzlies CEO Jason Levien has talked with Gay several times and asked him directly if he wanted to remain in Memphis. Gay indicated that he did indeed desire to remain with the Grizzlies and was not seeking a trade. However, last week when Memphis wrapped up a three-game road trip against Golden State, it was Mike Conley and Marc Gasol that received a dinner invite from owner Robert Pera. Neither Randolph nor Gay received any such invitation.
For now Hollins is trying to hold things together while hoping that his team can push through the distractions.
