The road back to .500 does not get any easier for the slumping Los Angeles Lakers, who travel to Memphis to take on a tough Grizzlies squad on Wednesday night. The game is one of 11 on a busy night in the NBA.
NBA schedule 2013: Slumping Lakers visit Grizzlies
Life for the fading Los Angeles Lakers does not get any easier on Wednesday when they head to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies.

The Lakers have lost three in a row, sit at seven games under .500 and appear to be in complete turmoil. The team is playing horribly, Pau Gasol has been benched and Dwight Howard trade rumors are popping up again. All in all, it's a huge mess.
Meanwhile, the Grizzlies are a solid 26-14 and sit at fourth in the Western Conference. Memphis did just make a trade, sending Marreese Speights, Wayne Ellington, Josh Selby and a 2015 first round draft pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Jon Leuer in a straight up salary dump to avoid the luxury tax. With the team now under the tax, it's more likely that Rudy Gay will stay put throughout the rest of this season.
The other big matchup of the night comes out on the west coast, where the Oklahoma City Thunder will be taking on the Golden State Warriors. The Thunder are coming off a huge win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night, while the Warriors have won two in a row.
