Even if practice goes well for Felton, he will likely be a game-time decision on Saturday. His return can’t come soon enough for the Knicks, who have gone 5-6 over the 11 games since his injury.
“It’s been feeling good,” Felton said of his pinky, which he says was fractured in three places. “The biggest test will be tomorrow.”
“If I have to sit out another two games and come back at home, if that’s what it takes, then that’s what I have to do,” Felton said.
Felton was a staple in New York’s pick and roll heavy attack early in the season. Without him, the Knicks have relied more heavily on isolations where the results haven’t been as good.
Felton has been running on the side and should be in good shape once he does return to the floor. He is averaging 15.8 points and 6.3 assists per game this season.
