The Memphis Grizzlies put away the Brooklyn Nets early, jumping out to a big first half lead and then cruising for a 101-77 win at home.
Reggie Evans unhappy with Grizzlies starters playing in blowout
Brooklyn’s enforcer didn’t appreciate the way Memphis closed out their win.

The Grizzlies have recently been dealing with trade rumors surrounding their star players Rudy Gay and Zach Randolph, but the pair appear set to stay in Memphis and they saw plenty of action in the blowout win. Randolph in particular celebrated receiving an All-Star nod with 12 points and nine rebounds in 39 minutes of play.
That was too much for Reggie Evans to take. Brooklyn's burly power forward didn't appreciate the way the Grizzlies used their starters in the fourth quarter with the game already decided. Evans stood up and looked down at the Memphis bench and then was astounded when center Marc Gasol made a late appearance with less than four minutes to play.
“That was the point where it was like, wow, I was shocked. I was real shocked to see him come back in,” Evans said, adding, “We won’t be forgetting, though. Right now we’re going to focus on (Saturday’s game against Houston), but we’re definitely going to look forward to when that day comes where we play (Memphis again).”
These comments should add some juice to their next meeting, although Memphis was working through adding new faces to their playing rotation. After a mid-week trade sent several bench players to Cleveland, the Grizzlies played reserve guard Jerryd Bayless over 30 minutes and rookie Tony Wroten 23 minutes. But coach Lionel Hollins apparently didn't feel he had the bigs to play such minutes, as Randolph and Gasol both played big minutes.
