After a six-game winning streak earlier this month seemingly had the team back on the track, the Celtics have since stumbled into a six-game losing skid to drop back below .500. Things hit a low point on Friday night, as Boston blew a 27-point first half lead against the Atlanta Hawks to keep the losing streak going.
For most Celtics fans, this probably isn’t the most wild news. As CelticsBlog writes, “Sign me up. Make some moves.”
More than halfway through the season, the Celtics are still struggling to find an identity on offense, making even a postseason appearance less than certain at this point. Boston still has the eighth-best record in the Eastern Conference entering Saturday night’s games, but this surely isn’t where the franchise imagined itself being.
