Kyrie Irving refuses to lose, hits gamewinning three to beat Toronto

If you’re looking for a way to defend Kyrie Irving at the end of games, this isn’t it.

The Cavaliers nearly fumbled this game away but Kyrie Irving wouldn't let that happen. Cleveland was up by five with three and a half minutes remaining, only to find their offense stall while Toronto's caught up fast enough to gain a two-point lead with about a minute left. The Raptors had a chance to put them up by four but Tristan Thompson rejected the Amir Johnson layup.

And then Kyrie Irving happened. On a fast break, Irving drove down the court with numbers not quite in his favor. But with the advantage of speed and being Kyrie Irving, he took them on and made a beautiful euro-step to get him around the defender for a circus layup.

Jose Calderon answered back with his own layup to give the Raptors the two-point lead once more with only 12 seconds left.

And then Kyrie Irving happened again.

With time running down and Alan Anderson giving him ample space on the perimeter, Irving let the clock run down before rising for the trey. Boom, dagger. The Raptors had only a prayer to hope for with only 0.7 seconds left and couldn't find a shot to save their lives.

Just another chapter in the incredibly impressive book of the young Cavs point guard.
