Knicks vs. Magic 2013 results: Carmelo Anthony pushes New York past Orlando, 114-106

The Knicks forward went off for 40 points on Saturday night in Orlando, and guided his team to back-to-back wins for the first time in nearly a month.

The New York Knicks held off the Orlando Magic 114-106 in Orlando on Saturday night, marking the first time the Knicks have won back-to-back games since Dec. 15. The game had several large swings, with New York getting the final say by virtue of a 28-13 fourth quarter.

Carmelo Anthony led all scorers with 40 points, six rebounds, and six assists, and J.R. Smith had 18 points and five rebounds. Tyson Chandler contributed with a double double, ending with 14 points and 12 rebounds. The Knicks shot just under 48% from the field as a team.

Jameer Nelson and Arron Afflalo led the Magic with 29 points a piece, with Nelson also chipping in eight assists. The Magic stayed even with the Knicks in almost every statistical category, but did commit 13 turnovers.

The Knicks have Sunday off before going home to face the Boston Celtics on Monday night. The Magic also play again on Monday night, but have to fly out west to take on the Portland Trail Blazers.
