Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin suffered a bone bruise on his left knee in a scrimmage on Wednesday and sat out Thursday's practice. Griffin underwent an MRI, but it showed no structural damage.
NBA preseason injury roundup: Blake Griffin suffers bone bruise, Brandan Wright has fractured shoulder
An MRI revealed no structural damage in Blake Griffin’s knee, while Brandan Wright isn’t expected to go under the knife for his shoulder injury.

Clippers coach Doc Rivers said there was no timetable for Griffin's return to the court, however, Rivers also said the injury wasn't serious.
Griffin injured his knee after attempting a dunk on Lou Amundson on the final play of Wednesday's scrimmage. The injury is to the same knee that Griffin had surgery on in 2009.
The Clippers are dealing with several other injuries in addition to Griffin. J.J. Redick (bruised left quad), Matt Barnes (sore left calf) and rookie Reggie Bullock (sore right knee) all missed Thursday's practice.
Wright out indefinitely with shoulder injury
Dallas Mavericks center Brandan Wright suffered a non-displaced fracture in his left shoulder and is out indefinitely, according to Dwain Price of the Forth Worth Star-Telegram. Wright isn't expected to have surgery, but he'll be re-evaluated weekly.
Wright injured the shoulder in practice on Tuesday, and he sat out Wednesday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. After the game, Wright said he sat out simply for precautionary reasons, but the MRI on his shoulder showed otherwise.
Jose Calderon (hamstring), Devin Harris (toe) and rookie Shane Larkin (ankle) are also nursing injuries for Dallas.
Williams to miss at least next 3 preseason games
Brooklyn Nets star Deron Williams said Thursday that he'll miss at least the next three preseason games as he continues to recover from a sprained right ankle, according to Mike Mazzeo of ESPN New York.
Williams injured the ankle during an offseason workout in Utah. The point guard said the ankle is getting better and he's hoping to return Oct. 17 against the Miami Heat, but the ultimate goal is to be ready for the start of the regular season.
Nets coach Jason Kidd said Williams is currently only doing some "light shooting" in practice and that there's no timetable for him to return to full contact.
Nash leaves Thursday’s game with sore ankle
Los Angeles Lakers point guard Steve Nash was limited to just nine minutes in Thursday's 104-86 preseason loss to the Sacramento Kings due to a sore left ankle.
Nash has been dealing with the sore ankle since September, and while it has improved since then, he’s still having some issues with it. The 39-year-old had problems getting the ankle loose in Thursday’s warmups, and he and Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni felt it was best to make it a short night.
D’Antoni admitted that he’s expecting Nash to miss some time throughout the year, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN Los Angeles, but the coach ultimately isn’t too concerned about his point guard.
