NBA preseason schedule: Knicks vs. Celtics, Bulls highlight Saturday action

Six games are on the schedule on Saturday night, less than three weeks from the season.

Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports

The NBA’s preseason continues Saturday night with six games, featuring some of this season’s NBA title hopefuls.

The Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards get things started in Brazil for the NBA Global Games. They play at 5 p.m. ET, and the game will be televised on NBA TV. As with the Bulls' previous preseason games, the story will be Derrick Rose. He's looked completely healthy -- a bit rusty, perhaps, but so is everyone else -- and at this point, the game is worth watching just to remind ourselves what we missed last year.

Following Bulls-Wizards on NBA TV will be the New York Knicks on the road against the Boston Celtics at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Celtics are winless so far in the preseason as they adjust to life without Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce. Meanwhile, the Knicks are adjusting to life with Andrea Bargnani, and are coming off a loss in Toronto in Bargnani's homecoming.

The rest of Saturday’s preseason schedule (all times Eastern):

Detroit Pistons at Brooklyn Nets, 7:30 p.m.

Toronto Raptors at Minnesota Timberwolves, 8 p.m.

Charlotte Bobcats at Milwaukee Bucks, 8:30 p.m.

Los Angeles Clippers at Utah Jazz, 9 p.m.
