Both Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah are expected to play in the Bulls' preseason game against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reported on Monday.

The Bulls most likely will have all of their stars back from injuries against the Detroit Pistons.

Rose has played in two preseason games so far this year, but sat out of an exhibition game against the Washington Wizards in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday because of soreness in his knee. Noah has dealt with a groin injury that has sidelined him for the entire preseason so far.
Some understandable ripples of mild panic went through the Bulls’ community after it was announced that Rose missed the exhibition game on Saturday. He complained of soreness in his left knee, the same one he had his ACL surgery on.
There was less panic among the Bulls’ front office, Johnson reported on Monday. Even though Rose sat out 17 months, team doctors expected there to be a bit of soreness as his knee acclimates to the demands and rigors of the NBA season. The Bulls organization is obviously watching its star guard’s knee very closely.
Rose, for his part, said he felt fine to play, but had no problems agreeing with the call from up high to sit out in Brazil.
“I know I’m going to be ready for the regular season,” Rose said late Saturday. “I could’ve played, but the front office made the decision to sit me out. I was fine with it.”
Rose has scored 13 points in both preseason games he has played in, averaging approximately 22 minutes per game.
