NBA scores: Derrick Rose continues to roll as Bulls blow out the Bucks

If you've been keeping an eye on the return of Derrick Rose during the preseason, chances are you like what you've seen. Monday night was no different, as the former league MVP continued his torrid preseason for the Chicago Bulls with 24 points and four assists in a 105-84 blowout of the Milwaukee Bucks.

The entire Bulls starting lineup — which was without Jimmy Butler and Joakim Noah — scored in double figures, helping their healthy looking star along the way.

The Bucks, on the other hand, have yet to record their first win. The newly acquired Gary Neal led the way for Milwaukee with 14 points, and O.J. Mayo, Ersan Ilyasova, Carlos Delfino and Ekpe Udoh all sat out Monday's game.

Terrance Ross hit a game-tying three-pointer at the end of the first overtime and four free throws in the final six seconds of the game on his way to a 27-point night, and the Toronto Raptors outlasted the New York Knicks in double overtime, 123-120. DeMar DeRozan pitched in 21 points of his own, helping the cause in the team's fourth straight preseason victory.

Andrea Bargnani dropped in 13 points for New York (2-3) in the first meeting against the team that selected him with the first pick in the 2006 NBA draft, but the Knicks remain far from full strength. With nearly half the roster sitting this one out, Beno Udrih led the way with 19 points, Metta World Peace had 16, and Tyson Chandler and Tim Hardaway, Jr., both went for 15 points. Carmelo Anthony scored nine points, connecting on just four of his 13 field goal attempts.

Rudy Gay scored 19 points for the Raptors (5-1) who continue their solid preseason.

Dwight Howard had 15 points and 17 rebounds, James Harden went for 19 points and the Houston Rockets held on to beat the Dallas Mavericks 100-95 in preseason action. On a night when Howard started at power forward alongside Omer Asik at center, the two seemed to coexist well enough.

It didn't help the Dallas cause when Dirk Nowitzki was ejected for a flagrant 2 foul in the third quarter, though both teams played their benches extensively down the stretch. Nowitzki scored 11 points in 25 minutes, while new point guard Jose Calderon and new center Samuel Dalembert led the way with 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Francisco Garcia had 15 points off the bench for Houston.

Cavaliers 104, 76ers 93

Tristan Thompson pitched in 15 points and 16 rebounds in just 28 minutes for the Cavs (4-2), who continue to show signs of breakout potential during an impressive all-around preseason.

Five players scored in double figures for the young 76ers, including Spencer Hawes and James Anderson, who went for 17 points apiece. First-round pick Michael Carter-Williams hit just one field goal out of 11 attempts, but he did snag four steals in 32 minutes of court time.
