"Which player makes the most of limited natural ability?" is a question asked yearly to NBA general managers when they survey the league prior to the start of the season. An odd question, no doubt. The results of the 2013-14 season survey were released earlier today and Kevin Love accomplished the rare feat of three-peating as the highest voted "most with least" award. Or, as the three-time champion has christened it, the "White Guy Award:"
Kevin Love wins odd general manager survey award for third time
Kevin Love just wrapped up his third obscure general manager survey award.

It's the "White Guy" award!! @APkrawczynski: Another from NBA GM survey: @kevinlove is player who makes most of 'limited natural ability.'

Marc Gasol landed second place and Matt Bonner rounded out the top three.
You'd have to go back to the 2010-11 survey to find someone not named Kevin Love as the recipient of the award. Luis Scola was voted first in the "most with limited natural ability" category and Love was not in the top-three votes received that year, though he did receive votes. Prior to Scola, it was Utah's Mehmet Okur taking home the award.
Now, he has dominated the award. He received 24 percent of votes this year, though last season was his best outing as he grabbed an eye-popping 34 percent of votes. A down year marred with injuries may have set back Love’s percentages here, but he still took home the crown back-to-back-to-back. Any champion knows the toll winning championships over consecutive years takes on a body.
Can he do it again next year for an unprecedented fourth time, though?
